[CONFIGURE BEFORE PRODUCTION LAUNCH]
1. About These Terms
These Terms govern your use of Music Ranking.
By using Music Ranking, creating an account, submitting music or purchasing promotional placement, you agree to these Terms.
Music Ranking is operated by:
{OPERATOR_NAME}
Contact:
{CONTACT_EMAIL}
Business address where legally required:
{BUSINESS_ADDRESS}
These fields must be configured before production launch.
2. What Music Ranking Provides
Music Ranking operates a public paid music promotion leaderboard.
Artists may submit eligible music and purchase promotional positions.
Leaderboard position is primarily determined by promotional bid amount.
Higher total promotional bids rank higher.
Music Ranking also allows listeners to discover, preview and click through to music.
3. Paid Promotional Ranking
Music Ranking is not an editorial music chart.
Purchasing a higher position does not mean that Music Ranking considers one artist or track better than another.
Position reflects promotional spending according to the published ranking rules.
4. No Guaranteed Results
Music Ranking does not guarantee:
- streams
- listeners
- followers
- playlist additions
- press coverage
- reviews
- purchases
- conversions
- career results
- positive audience response
Artists purchase promotional placement, not guaranteed outcomes.
5. Eligibility
You must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and make payments through Music Ranking.
If you submit music on behalf of another person, band, label or organisation, you confirm that you have permission to do so.
6. Your Music And Content
You retain ownership of content you own.
By submitting content to Music Ranking, you give Music Ranking permission to use the submitted:
- artist name
- track title
- artwork
- music preview or authorised embed
- public links
- related submission information
for the purpose of:
- displaying the leaderboard
- operating Music Ranking
- promoting Music Ranking
- creating ranking and sharing assets
- presenting your submission to users
You confirm that you have the necessary rights or permission to submit this material.
7. Founding Artists
Music Ranking may invite up to 30 Founding Artists.
A Founding Artist may receive one free £0 placement.
The Founding Artist badge recognises early participation.
It does not:
- guarantee permanent ranking
- provide permanent preferential placement
- represent editorial endorsement
Any genuine paid bid ranks above a £0 founding placement.
8. Promotional Bids
The minimum promotional bid is displayed before purchase.
Music Ranking may change minimum bid requirements in the future.
A promotional bid applies to the submitted music listing and contributes to its total bid.
9. Increasing A Bid
An existing artist may increase the total promotional bid for their listing.
Where the listing already has a paid bid, the artist pays only the additional amount required to reach the new selected total.
Example:
Existing total: £20
New total: £35
Additional payment: £15
10. Ranking Changes
Your position may change at any time when another artist:
- submits a higher bid
- increases an existing bid
- enters the leaderboard above you
Purchasing a position does not reserve that position permanently.
This changing ranking is a fundamental part of Music Ranking.
11. Payment
Payments must be completed through the available payment provider.
The leaderboard updates only after Music Ranking receives confirmation of successful payment.
You are responsible for ensuring payment details are valid.
12. Refunds
Promotional bids generally purchase immediate or near-immediate promotional placement.
Because the service may begin immediately after successful payment, refunds are not automatically available simply because:
- another artist later outranks you
- your music receives fewer plays than expected
- listeners do not respond positively
- you change your promotional plans
Music Ranking may provide refunds where:
- a technical error prevents delivery
- a duplicate charge occurs
- Music Ranking rejects a submission before meaningful promotional service begins
- applicable consumer law requires a refund
- Music Ranking determines a refund is appropriate
Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Prohibited Use
You must not:
- submit content you do not have permission to promote
- impersonate another artist
- manipulate engagement metrics
- interfere with Music Ranking's operation
- attempt fraudulent payments
- use automated systems to inflate plays or clicks
- introduce malware
- exploit vulnerabilities
- create misleading submissions
- use the platform for illegal activity
14. Moderation
Music Ranking may:
- reject submissions
- remove submissions
- suspend accounts
- remove fraudulent activity
- correct obvious metadata errors
- investigate abuse
when reasonably necessary to protect the service and its users.
15. Third-Party Services
Music Ranking may link to or integrate with services including:
- Spotify

These services operate under their own terms.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
19. Your Responsibility
Artists remain responsible for:
- their submitted content
- their marketing decisions
- the amount they choose to bid
- ensuring they have necessary music and artwork rights
- complying with applicable laws
Music Ranking should not be treated as financial, legal, career or investment advice.
20. Termination
You may stop using Music Ranking at any time.
Music Ranking may suspend or terminate access where a user seriously or repeatedly violates these Terms, platform rules, payment obligations or applicable law.
21. Governing Law
The governing law and jurisdiction should be configured according to the legal entity operating Music Ranking.
Use:
